To provide efficient and effective public fire protection and emergency services to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

To forge a new identity for the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service as the primary organization of motivated professionals, responsible for fire and civil defense; and to expand our roles as first responders in all related activities by the aqusition and utilization of modern technology and equipment.

Principal Responsibilities
To save and protect life and property from damage or destruction by fire or other hazards, whether fire related or not.
To provide and advise upon preventative measures against the occurence of such damage or destruction.
To render related humanitarian services where required.
To conduct investigations in order to ascertain the cause or origins of a fire, or other hazards requiring the services of the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service.
